The terms for two seats on the Society Sanctioning Committee expire at the end of March as part of the normal committee membership cycle. This is an open call for any additional candidates for these positions.

The seats are currently held by William Haddon and David Wood. Haddon has indicated that he is interested in remaining on the SSC. Wood would prefer to step aside to focus on his new duties with the FRC, but is willing to serve if we do not get enough qualified volunteers.

Candidates are expected to be able to engage in email and teleconferences regarding matters related to magic item pricing, Bluebook updates, and treasure-related mechanics. With the exploration of a new Fantasy Rules revision, the SSC will likely be working with the FRC on magic-item related issues and eventually revising the Bluebook in accordance with changes to the rules.

In addition, candidates are expected to be prepared to review and sanction games for the Society Game Library.

If you would like to be considered for one of these positions, please contact the SSC at ssc@ifgs.org  and copy the Society Board at board@ifgs.org. Include a brief statement of your relevant IFGS experience and your reasons for wanting to join the SSC.
